Outfit of the Day!
We all love our sweaters here at Misch - we always make sure that we buy as many gorgeous and interesting ones as we can find. Vancouver is the kind of city where elevated casual is the name of the game... but every now and then you want to know you can bring it!! You want to know that you could take off to Fashion Week and have a day outfit that is totally drool-worthy.
This amazing outfit is definitely IT. We are loving the cropped front of this Joseph sweater and how the leather BOY. by Band of Outsiders leather pencil skirt with zipper detail really vamps the outfit up!

Vanessa Bruno - Small but Fabulous Deliveries!
Did someone say PEPLUM??! It's the magic word right now... this navy (almost black) zip front jacket has the most gorgeous pintucking detail across the front. So pretty!
Sexy is just fine by me - especially when we are talking a sweater dress - for day or night. The seamed detail is SO INCREDIBLE and the kind of thing you totally want in your closet - but also the kind of thing you aren't necessarily going to find every season. Transitional Weather Inspiration - White and Beige!
Love the idea of maintaining a light colour palette while the weather is still sunny but turning chillier... especially as the mornings are so crisp - layering, layering, layering!
Loving the way the white and the ivory contrast ever so gently!
10 Crosby merino wool ivory ribbed sweater, Nili Lotan cotton trousers, Isabel Marant suede Dicker boots and Faliero Sarti modal/silk blend scarf.

I love the psuedo-sailor-ness of this sweater and I feel like you can really appreciate the beige when it is back to something as stark as white.
Maison Olga chunky wool cardigan in beige with Nili Lotan cotton trousers, Inhabit cotton tank and Isabel Marant suede Dicker boots.

CARVEN - the Delivery to End All Deliveries! (aka 2nd Fall Shipment)
I'm not sure how many times in my life I'm going to say with a straight face: "THIS is the jacket of the season - and you need it!" so I'm pretty sure that buys me some credibility. I actually do feel like this is THE jacket, and not only because it incorporates so many of the important trends of the season (peplums, english countryside manor dressing, and a sort of severe gothic shoulder/neckline combo), but because it is FIERCE, AMAZING, and totally wearable. I am obsessed with the navy sleeves to contrast the black body.
Full skirts are a Carven signature, and if they ever stop doing it I'll quit fashion. They call this the 'Ottoman Stripe', presumably because the Ottoman Empire is a great reference to invoke when all the Baroque, Medieval themes are so hot. Whatever. The skirt is totally fabulous - I love the colour combo.
Remember our discussion about the full skirt... yes. Here it is in a navy blue wool felt - just in case you want it to go with EVERYTHING. We tucked the combo stained-glass printed top with the adorable Peter-Pan collar into it.
This dress - same fabric as the skirt above - has the most unusual feature!! Look at this peek-a-boo back detail!!! LOVE!! I love when you can find something that is simple enough to be TIMELESS... but has some amazing little detail that makes you never want to replace it.

RED DRESS!! It's kind of a thing. Everyone needs at least one totally amazing one. This one? TOTALLY AMAZING!! So cute!! A thick jersey and a flattering a-line silhouette. Perfect!
Maybe you've been sitting around wondering where you are going to find something fabulous to wear on top of your leather leggings that is a bit unusual... lucky for us, Gillaume Henry was kind enough to make an AMAZING collection full of AMAZING litle gems like this cotton poplin tunic/blouse/dress/lifesaver/maker-of-fabulous-outfit.
The main problem with the skirt is that it will sell out and then everyone will be upset with me. Besides the fact that lace is so hot right now, this skirt is the most gorgeous thing I have ever laid eyes on. Photograph doesn't do it justice, but I am having the most intense fantasies about someone styling it with a chunky bootie and an oversize sweater for a rougher interpretation of something so feminine... just as much as I am for something more classically feminine like the way we've styled it here.

ISABEL MARANT - 4th FALL DELIVERY!! They keep rolling in!!

Here is the Wesley skirt and Wake top again - but this time in the solid silk chiffon. We honestly couldn't decide which was nicer - so we bought both!!
What I love about the striped Barney cardigan is it's ability to be worn casually like this, or to be dressed up a bit... imagine it with jeans, a Faliero Sarti and a little pump... super young French 'lady' kind of look....
We keep joking that this dress (the DAG) is a foxy little cross between a Dolce dress and an Isabel dress... all this interesting smocking detail... but this sexy body-con fit! You can see a bit of skin between the rows of smocking, adding to the appeal! Okay, now this is the dress version. The "William" dress is one of my personal favourites of the season! The smocking detail around the hip gives a great shape to the body, and the little ruffled skirt makes it nice worn casually, or dressed up for a night out. We liked it so much - we couldn't even decide which colour to buy! The solid above in the indigo colour, or the noir print below.

The FIRENZE top from the Etoile collection is a classic Isabel staple - interesting... but easy, easy, easy! As you know, we love shirtdresses and button-ups and henleys, anything that has a nice central focal point to draw the eye to the center of the body... always flattering!
The 'Nolina', a cotton blend blouse with an incredible print is another great example of the ease of being an Isabel girl! Such a cute print!
Again... when it came to the WITA blouse... we couldn't decide on fabric so we just bought them all. The bleu print, the indigo solid and the beige print... all STUNNING!!

We love our leather leggings around here... so we were really excited to buy some great tunic-length pieces to style back to them... this gorgeous navy crepe "Lopez" tunic from the Etoile collection looks amazing with leather leggings, or layered with just about anything!
