Outfit of the Day!

Perhaps one of the best items in my coat closet, surprisingly, is a tailored wool vest coat like this one from Barbara Bui ($1530 and available in sizes 36, 38, 40 and 42). I love that it fits heavier sweaters underneath without the bulk in the arms. I also love that when you wear a leather jacket or blazer underneath - it both shows said leather or blazer, and is a bit more visually interesting. For travelling it is that crucial bit lighter, also with the necessary versatility you need to go from day to night, since I usually only travel with one outerwear piece. And... it still keeps me really warm! What's not to love!??

This gorgeous alpaca blend Isabel Marant sweater creates the perfect tonal grey look for underneath the vest, and we love all the texture the combo colourways creates.
